Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14: upgrades
Nike has kitted out its latest Vomero with a full Zoom Air element and a React midsole, both of which help deliver a smooth running feel. The technologies of the Nike React Epic Flyknit and the Nike Pegasus 35 have been fused together into a single model that is cushioned and comfortable.
Thanks to the compact, foam-padded heel counter and Flywire technology in the midfoot area, the runner enjoys a special fit that guides the foot through every phase of the gait cycle. An additional comfort boost is offered by the breezy mesh upper. Forefoot strikers will benefit most from the additional reinforcement over the big toe.
I was very excited to see how the new Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14 would fare during a run - it looks really fast, but is it really? First off though, let’s talk about the fit: once laced up, the Vomero 14 has a very secure fit. It has padding around the heel and a very good lacing system, making this a comfortable running shoe. The heel is also wrapped up with part of the midsole, giving you an extra support boost. You only need to run a few metres to realise that this running shoe has a lot of padding, but I didn’t feel that it was exaggerated in any way and it didn’t feel sponge-like. I can see how this cushioning would be beneficial to long-distance runners or heavier athletes needing additional support.
You can easily run at a faster pace with the Nike Vomero 14, but its forte is a relaxed pace. When it comes to grip, not to worry! I ran around the city in the rain and didn’t slip once.
Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14 v. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35
The two Nike running shoe models come with a comfortable upper and a full Zoom Air element for a reactive running feel. The Vomero 14 also has a React midsole for an even smoother experience. If you compare the construction of both models, the Air Zoom Vomero 14 seems to have more of everything: more noticeable guidance, more cushioning, etc. All of this makes the Vomero 14 better suited to relaxed runs, whereas the Pegasus 35 is ideal for faster workouts.

Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14: conclusion
The Nike Vomero has always been a bringer of comfort. With the latest version, you get that same comfort with added dynamism! If you’re looking for stability footwear, the new Vomero 14 is a great choice. On the whole, I’d say the Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14 is a comfortable and secure way of covering your miles.
